Google Play services are used extensively to update Google apps and apps from Google Play.
This section provides core functionality such as authentication for your Google services, synchronized contacts, access to the latest user privacy settings and higher quality, location-based services with lower power.
Google Play services also enhances your app experience. It speeds up offline searches, provides more immersive maps, and improves gaming experiences.
Apps may not work if you uninstall Google Play services.
To fix "Google Play services has stopped" errors, open the app info dialog and select "clear cache". If that doesn't work, try the "uninstall updates" option. Then download and install the latest version of the Google Play services from the Play Store link. In the new "Details" view, you can also check the status of the Google Play Store, Instant Apps, Google Services Framework and Google Account Manager.
